Sulfadiazine
A sulfa drug used in combination with pyrimethamine and leucovorin as maintenance treatment to prevent recurrence of toxoplasmosis. (Microsulfon)
Sulfadoxine
An antibiotic that has been used to prevent PCP. It may also be effective in preventing toxoplasmosis.(Fansidar).
Sulfamethazine
One of a class of drugs called sulfonamides used in combination to treat a variety of infections.(Triple Sulfa, Dayto Sulf, Gyne-Sulf, Sultrin, Trysul, VVS).
Sulfamethoxazole
For people with HIV disease, this drug is usually given in a combination form for prevention of PCP.(Gantanol, Urobak).
